Associate
Giorgi Alpenidze serves as an Associate at BLC. He joined BLC in 2025 as a Junior Associate and was promoted to Associate in 2026. His practice area primarily includes advising clients on insolvency law, energy law, civil and administrative litigation, contract law, and labour law. He represents domestic and international clients before Georgian courts and regulatory authorities, combining litigation experience with sector-specific regulatory expertise.
Giorgi has practiced law since 2020. Prior to joining BLC, he worked within an insolvency practitioner’s team, where he handled a broad range of insolvency cases and developed strong litigation and legal drafting skills. In parallel, he served as a regulatory specialist at one of the country’s largest electricity distribution companies, where he monitored legislative developments in the energy sector, prepared regulatory submissions, drafted internal legal acts, and represented the company’s interests before the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission.
Earlier in his career, Giorgi contributed to strategic litigation at leading Georgian human rights organisations, where his responsibilities included providing legal assistance to beneficiaries, including preparing cases for the European Court of Human Rights.
Giorgi has been a member of the Georgian Bar Association since April 2024, qualified as an attorney with civil and administrative law specialisation.

- Representing one of the largest construction company as defendant in a major construction dispute valued at several tens of millions of Georgian Lari, defending the client’s interests at all stages of the court proceedings (2025–2026).
- Advising major companies operating in the Georgian energy sector on regulatory matters relating to business expansion and the regulation of micro and large power generation enterprises, in matters valued at several million Georgian Lari (2025–2026).
- Advising clients on the commencement and conduct of insolvency proceedings, including proceedings administered by insolvency practitioners, on both the debtor and creditor side.
- Advising companies on compliance with Georgian labour legislation and defending their interests in employment-related matters and disputes.
