Associate | Litigation & Corporate Practices

Teona Maghradze joined BLC in 2022 and currently serves as an Associate in the firm’s Litigation and Corporate practices. Her practice focuses on corporate and commercial disputes, construction and real estate matters, corporate transactions and M&A, labour law, family law and general corporate advisory work.

Teona advises and represents domestic and international clients in high-profile disputes before Georgian courts, as well as before local and international arbitral institutions. Her experience, among others, includes advising clients on corporate governance-related matters, multi-stage M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, and due diligence.

Prior to joining BLC, Teona worked at a full-service law firm in Georgia, where she focused on litigation, arbitration, labour law, sports law, and commercial and corporate matters.

Representative Experience
  • Represented one of the leading retail market players in various commercial and labour-related disputes before Georgian courts;
  • Represented a Georgian hydropower plant (HPP) in complex commercial litigation against construction companies;
  • Represented a major Georgian construction company in litigation proceedings arising from construction and development-related disputes;
  • Advised a leading Georgian research and consulting company on corporate governance and corporate restructuring matters;
  • Advised and represented foreign investors in partnership disputes, including derivative actions, corporate deadlock matters and disputes concerning the protection of investments;
  • Assisted clients with M&A and corporate restructuring in connection with a multi-stage exit transaction involving a Georgian retail business, including and transactional documentation;
  • Conducted comprehensive legal due diligence exercises for cross-border investors, covering licences, corporate standing, contractual arrangements, regulatory compliance and other key legal aspects of Georgian target companies;
  • Advised clients in the transportation, logistics, aviation and energy sectors on commercial, corporate, labour and litigation-related matters.
